Obituary

LEICESTER-David P. Kobel, 44, of Leicester died Saturday March 6th. He leaves his wife, Denise M. (Moisan) Kobel; a son, Jonathan D. Kobel of Leicester; a daughter, Kristin M. Kobel of Leicester; a grandson, Anthony S. Kobel of Leicester; his mother, Mary L. (Sweeney) Kobel of Homosassa, FL two brothers, Thomas R. Kobel of Homosassa, FL and Michael J. Kobel of Citrus Springs, FL; three sisters, Bonny L. Duggan of Williston, FL, Sandra M. Collins of Worcester and Cindy L. Chapin of Spencer; and several nephews and nieces.
Mr. Kobel was born in Worcester, the son of the late Thomas R. Kobel. He was a cable installer for Tri Wire. Mr. Kobel enjoyed attending his son’s sports events and coaching his son’s football team. He enjoyed having talks with his daughter, was a proud father and grandfather and loved the time he spent with them. He loved working on cars, being outside and sitting by the fire with family and friends.
The funeral is Friday, March 12th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Thursday, March 11th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, Boston, MA 02210.
