Crit “CJ” Embry Jr., 79, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010. Born in Lee, KY, he was the son of the late Crit and Eva Embry Sr. He was a Sgt. 1st Class in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was awarded the Bronze Star for his heroic efforts. He was a driver with Restonic Bedding for over 30 years. He was a member of Christian Home Church of Christ and was an avid hunter who excelled in training dogs. He is survived by Becky Funk, his loving significant other of 30 years and his son, David Lee Embry, who were also his caregivers. He is also survived by his daughters, Kathy Denzik (Doug) and Theresa Gail Goins (Tony); five grandchildren, Nathan and Alex Duke, David and Tara Denzik and Amber Barnes; a great grandson; his hunting dogs, Daisy and Luke; horse, Holly plus many nieces, nephews and a great host of friends. Funeral services will be 10 am Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Christian Home Cemetery, Butler County, KY. Visitation will be 2-8 pm Wednesday.
