James Eldon Welch, 65, Clarksville, died Monday , March 8, 2010, at his residence. A private service will be held at a later date. The remains are to be cremated. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born March 26, 1944 in Montgomery County. He retired from the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and was a member of St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father,Robert E. Welch; a son, Randy Wayne Welch; brother, George Robert Welch; and sister, Patricia Ann Rhinehart. Survivors include his mother, Nancy Slate Welch, Clarksville; spouse, Kay Medlin Welch,Clarksville; son, James Welch (April), Clinton, TN; daughter, Tammy Welch, Big Sandy, TN; two brothers, John P. Welch and Mike Welch; three sisters, Brenda Greene, Nancy Moore, and Marilyn Weyand; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
