
John F. Pigott, 88, passed away at the Life Care Center in Stoneham on March 7th, 2010. He was born in Boston on May 15th, 1921 to his parents John J. and Margaret M. (McGrath) Pigott. John was raised and educated in Charlestown, graduating from St. Francis DeSales School and Charlestown High School. During World War II, he served his country honorably as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. John worked for many years as an electrician and manager for the Gamewell Police and Fire Alarm Security Company. He has been a resident of Medford for the past 10 years and was previously a resident of Charlestown, Braintree and Dorchester. He also spent many years at his summer home in Marshfield. He is survived by his siblings; Margaret M. Foley of Medford, Thomas P. Pigott of Medford and Anna M. Vendola of Medford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, John was predeceased by his wife Jeanne B. (Murphy) Pigott and by his siblings; Catherine E. Pigott, Francis E. Pigott, William J. Pigott and Helen T. Quinn. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Wednesday March 10th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday March 9th from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
