TAUNTON – Manuel Narciso, the husband of Maria Lurdes (Rosa) Narciso, died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on March 6, 2010.
He was 63.
Born in Feteiras Sul, St. Michael, Azores, Mr. Narciso was the son of the late Jose and Luisa (Aguiar) Narciso.
He was raised and educated in the Azores, and served in the Portuguese Army before moving to the U.S. in 1970.
A Bailer Operator with Worldcolor, he was employed there since May of 1980.
Mr. Narciso was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
An avid sports fan, he also enjoyed gardening, farming, and dairy farm work, both in the Azores and in the U.S.
Besides his wife of Taunton, he leaves a son, Kenneth M. Narciso and his wife Elsie of Taunton; a daughter, Sandy R. Moura and her husband Duarte M. of Taunton; two brothers, Joseph and John Narciso, both of Taunton; three sisters, Lidia Narciso and Conceicao Tavares, both of Taunton, and Laudalina Mello of Fall River; three grandchildren, Kenneth M. Narciso, Jr. and Kayleigh M. Narciso, both of Taunton, and Liana M. Moura of East Taunton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Eduardo M. Narciso.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Thursday, March 11th at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 9 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
