Obituary

Mr. John I. McCain, age 72, of Wilmington, passed away at the Winchester Hospital, March 4th, following a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Judith M. (Mason) and together they shared 43 years of marriage.

Mr. McCain, known as "Pamp" to his family and friends was a Wilmington resident for fifteen years formerly of Medford for many years. He worked most of his life as a truck driver and was retired for the past several years.

Pamp was very patriotic and was a proud United States Marine Corp Veteran of the Vietnam War. Throughout his life he enjoyed traveling, Hawaii being one of his favorite destinations. His greatest joy was being with his family and friends, whether getting together for different family functions or spending the day at his home by his pool with family. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and attending all their different activities and could always be found on the sideline at their many different sporting events.

In addition to his beloved wife Judith, He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Murphy and her husband Sean of Wilmington. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Sean, Krista, Michael and Shannon Murphy, all of Wilmington.

In keeping with the wishes of Mr. McCain, funeral services were private. It has been requested that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements entrusted to the Dello Russo Funeral Home of Wilmington.
