JOHNSON, Rita Fay (Dobbs) (Hicks), 52, entered eternal glory Friday (March 5, 2010) at St's Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, after a series of illnesses over many years.
Rita was born in Louisville, KY to John C. & Katherine (Webster) Dobbs.
She was preceded in death by her Father and a nephew, Jacob Dobbs.
Rita was a Senior Piping Designer for C & I Engineering and a member of Kosmosdale Baptist Church.
Survivors include her Husband: Russell E. Johnson Sr.; her children: Lindsey Manning (Adam) and Travis Hicks.
Step-Children: Cassie Bishop (Scott), Russell E. Johnson Jr. (Cheryl), David Johnson (Beth), Steve Johnson (Trina);
her Mother: Katherine (Dobbs) Potter, (Ed); Brother: Michael Dobbs (Jo Leigh); Sisters: Peggy Campbell (Bill), Donna Kremer, Rachel Lynch.
Grandchildren: Lori, Russell III, Emily, Chris, Samantha, & Moira Johnson. Nephews & Nieces: Todd Campbell (Amy), Beth Fortner (John), Jamie Stumbo (Brandon), Daniel Kremer, Ashley Jackson (Kenny), Leigh & John Dobbs. Great Nieces & Nephews and her faithful companion Steeler.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday (3/09/2010) at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday 2:00 - 8:00 PM and Tuesday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
We may never know how many friends and families in her life at Kosmosdale Baptist Church and in her professional and personal life, have been influenced by her faith in Jesus and her indominable will, and her love for each of them. No more pain, Sweetie. Thank You, Lord.
