Hooksett-Robert P. Arel, 50, died March 5, 2010 at the Brigham & Woman’s Hospital in Boston, MA. following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Manchester on November 24, 1959 the son of Genevieve (Bergeron) Arel and the late Roland Arel.
He was educated in local schools. He was a mechanic and was past owner of Candia Road Automotive.
He enjoyed working on antique cars, attending antique car shows, and riding his Harley. He was also a jokester extraordinaire.
Members of his family include his wife Janice (Stewart) Arel of Hooksett, his mother of Manchester, three sons, Robert P. Arel of N.Providence, RI., Matthew R. Arel of Manchester, Jakob Moore of Hooksett, three step-sons, Mark Frechette and Jonathan Frechette both of Manchester, Brian Frechette of Hooksett, and one sister Mrs. Jules (Denise) Vaillancourt of Manchester.
In His Life: He also leaves his daughter in law Janika Arel-Rodrigues and his grandson Nash H. Arel both of N. Providence RI., two nieces, Allison Vaillancourt, Katie Vaillancourt,one aunt Lorraine Cameron all of Manchester.
Services: Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St., Manchester.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Augustin Church, Beech St.
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
