Obituary

Fairhaven – Antone Turcato, 88, of Rochester died after a long illness on March 1, 2010 at the Royal of Fairhaven. He was the widower of Anna (Soares) Turcato.

Mr. Turcato was born in Plymouth, son of the late Ludavino and Maria (Souza) Turcato, and resided in Rochester most of his life. He attended the First Congregational Church of Rochester. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was employed as a watch repairman by Flor Jewelers, Dartmouth until his retirement. He was a member of the Rochester Senior Bowling League and the Rochester Senior Citizens. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and card playing.

Survivors include his daughter: Anne Ashley and her husband Elton A., Jr. of Rochester; 2 granddaughters: Tracey A. Buzniak and her husband Christopher A. of Acushnet and Elizabeth A. Ashley of Rochester; 2 great-grandchildren: Ashlyn E. and Andrew E. Buzniak both of Acushnet; and several nieces & nephews.

He was brother of the late Victoria Souza and stepbrother of the late Joseph and John Miguel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Rochester Center Cemetery, Rochester.
