In Taunton, March 4, 2010 Irene E. Ward age 88, died after a period of failing health in Morton Hospital. Irene was the wife of the late William Ward. She was born in Taunton to her late parents John & Margaret (French) Porter. Irene lived all of her life in Raynham, was educated in Raynham schools and graduated from Taunton High School. Irene loved spending time with her family, enjoyed sports and was an avid Red Sox fan. She is survived by her four children Richard Ward & his wife Patricia of Medway, James Ward & his wife Cheryl of Danvers, Linda DeAngelis of Melrose, William M. Ward & his wife Kathleen of Taunton and her late son John P. Ward. Irene was the grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 10. She also was the sister of the late Charles Porter. A funeral home service to which all are invited will be held on Monday, March 8th at 9:30am. in the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton, MA. 02780. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday from 4-6pm. Interment in the family lot in St. Josephs Cemetery in Taunton.
