Obituary

WORCESTER___Lucian Ograbisz, 92, of Worcester died Sunday, February 28, 2010 in Radius Healthcare, 119 Providence Street.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Caroline E. (Menengas) Ograbisz, three sons, Lucian B. of Goffstown, NH., John A. of Worcester and Francis M. and his wife, Joann Ograbisz of Moorefield, WV., a sister, Maria Ograbisz of Belgium; nine grandchildren, Adam, Alison, Sarah, Emily, Katie, Matthew, Joseph, Christopher and Joshua and nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, a son of Bronislaus and Joanna (Galdecka) Ograbisz.

Mr. Ograbisz worked 33 years, for Wyman Gordon Co., in North Grafton as a machine calibrator until he retired. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Lucian was an avid “ten pin” bowler who also had a passion for completing crossword puzzles. He enjoyed spending time and keeping up with his grandchildren.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 6, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Friday, March 5, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
