Mrs. Jerlyn Ann Luke Tucker, 64, of Fitzgerald, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at her daughter’s home in Lithia, Florida.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, March 6 at Eureka Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Jamey Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Friday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Tucker was born June 19, 1945 in Fitzgerald to the late Russell J. and Vidalia Smith Luke. She lived in Ben Hill and Irwin counties most of her life and was a former resident of Savannah. Mrs. Tucker was a school bus driver with Irwin County retiring in 2005 after more than twenty years of service. She was a member of Eureka Primitive Baptist Church and a loving wife, mother and nana.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joanna D. & Quintin Varnum of Lithia, FL; son & daughter-in-law, Derek & Melanie Tucker of Ambrose; 4 grandsons, John, Justin & Jared Varnum and Nace Tucker. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lamar Tucker and a sister, Bonnie House.
