Michael R. Miale, 93, of Old Pocasset Lane, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Antoinette (Erice) Miale. They were married 67 years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Francesco and Incoronata (Granieri) Miale. He lived in North Scituate and Bradenton, FL before moving to Johnston.
Mr. Miale was a WWII Army veteran and received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was an inventor of a garage door screen system, a Master Carpenter and cabinet maker and worked for Melacaro, Nanni and Iannucillo Construction Companies before retiring.
He is also survived by his daughters, Rita A. DeFalco of Warwick and Joan M. Prechtl of Yonkers, NY; grandchildren Paul and Derek DeFalco and Sarah and Amanda Prechtl. He was the great grandfather to Chelsea Malone and Dillon DeFalco and brother of the late Frank, Cosmo and Joseph Miale, Delores Celano and Rose Dietrich.
Funeral Saturday at 8:30am from ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston.
