Obituary

Jeffrey J. Wrobel, 43 of Wareham, MA passed away on March 1, 2010 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston after a brief illness.
Jeff was born in Utica, NY, on April 29,1966. He was the son of Catherine Wrobel and the late John J. Wrobel of Mattapoisett. He was the loving brother of Kristen E. Mathieu and her husband Peter, Rochester, Lynette A. Lander and her husband, Arthur, Rochester and Maureen E. Prouty and her husband, Richard, Mattapoisett. He was the caring and devoted uncle to Taylor and Nick Mathieu and the late Molly Mathieu of Rochester. Jeff is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friend Jessica Shepardson.
Jeff was a member of the Army National Guard. He attended S.M.U. in Dartmouth where he was extremely active and enjoyed many years as a DJ at the college’s radio station, WSMU. There, he was able to showcase his knowledge and love of music. We always knew that Jeff had arrived when you could feel the beat of the bass of his car stereo coming down the street. He was the owner of Lazarus Communications and was rated number one on “allexperts.com.” Jeff will be remembered for his big heart, compassion, and his ability to engage, debate and discuss any subject.
Family will welcome visitors at Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd., Mattapoisett on Thursday, March 4 from 5-8 p.m. His Memorial service will be at the Funeral Home on Friday at 10 a.m.
