Funeral services for Frances Oliver NeSmith, 79, of Ashburn, GA will be held, Thursday, March 4, 2009 at Perry Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM. Mrs. NeSmith passed away Monday at her residence following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
The daughter of the late William Frederick and Bertha Mae McKinney Oliver, she was born in Turner Co. and retired from M & W Sportswear after thirty five years. She enjoyed word search puzzles, going out with friends and holding ‘Peanut’ (Zachary) her great grandson. She was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church. Mrs. NeSmith was the widow of Leo Anderson NeSmith.
Survivors include her children, Brenda (Hoyt) Morris, Newnan, GA, Ann (Johnny) Connell, Adel, GA, Becky (Bob) McKay, Stephens, GA, David Allen (Joy) NeSmith, Ashburn, GA and a step-child, Leo A. NeSmith, Jr., Bristol, FL.; her sister, Zelma Johnson, Lizella, GA and a brother, William Oliver, Perry, GA; Six grandchildren, Two great-grandchildren and One step grandchild.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven until nine at Perry Funeral Chapel.
