Teresa Texeida English, 78, of Tifton died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 5, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born May 13, 1931 in Caminha, Portugal, she resided in the United States since 1961 and lived in Tifton 20 years, where she loved to walk her dog, Ranger. A homemaker, she was devoted to her three children and, later in life, she did volunteer work in local nursing homes. She loved Christian life and visited many churches.
Ms. English is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Hilda and Wayne Martin of Tifton and Judy and Gerard Greco of Pace, Florida; one son, Lee English and special friend, Brenda Reed, of Tifton; grandchildren, Wayne and Angel Martin, Laura Martin and Hunter Martin, all of Tifton, Ryan Greco and Bryson Greco of Pace, Florida; great grandchildren, Zoey Martin and Connor Martin of Tifton; and Ranger, her dog, was a special companion.
