Neil W. Nettleton a 50 year resident of Needham died on Monday September 30th at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. He was 72 years old. Born in Somerville, he was a graduate of Newton High School Class of 1949. Mr. Nettleton was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Manson H. Carter VFW Post #2498. Mr. Nettleton worked for greyhound Bus from 1957 to 1986 and was a security officer at Fox Hill Village in Westwood for 10 years. The beloved husband of Joanne (Newins) Nettleton, he was the devoted father of Kim Greene and her husband Richard of Sudbury and Steve Nettleton of Boylston. Mr. Nettleton was the loving grandfather of Adam, Jenny and Sam Greene. A memorial service was held on Friday October 3 at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue in Needham. Burial was private. Memorial contributions in Neil’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
