O'FARRELL- Of Chelsea and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, February 16th, George J. Devoted father of Lisa Visnaskas and her husband Kevin and Cheryl Belanger and her husband Robert all of Brookline, New Hampshire and Gregg O'Farrell of Chelsea. Longtime companion of Lorraine Scott and her children. Beloved brother of Mary Flanagan of West Yarmouth and Willam O'Farrell of Portland, Maine. Lovingly survived by 7 grandchildren as well as 4 nieces. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith-Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood) MALDEN on Tuesday, February 23rd at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith-Carroll Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8 PM. Committal Services private. Expressions of sympathy in George's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

Born in Chelsea, and a graduate of Malden High School, George passed away at the Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida after a short illness. For over the last 16 years, George made Chelsea is home and wintered in Florida. A devoted familyman and workaholic, for over 40 years until his passing was the owner and proprietor of Colonial Company of New England.
