Lawrence, MA- Angela M. (DiMauro) Aleci, 79, a lifelong resident of Lawrence, died Saturday February 27th 2010 at Lawrence General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lawrence on March 6th 1930, Angela was the daughter of Mario and Carmela (Conte) DiMauro. She was educated in Lawrence schools and a graduate of Lawrence High School.
For 25 years, Angela worked at JMD Industry in Hudson, NH until retiring in 2009.
Angela loved to travel. She enjoyed going on cruises and visiting places like Las Vegas, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. Angela loved her family and looked forward to her annual 4th of July Pool Party and Sunday dinners, where she could spend time with them. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The widow of the late Carl Aleci, Angela is survived by her husband of 12 years, Bertrand Poirier of Lawrence, two daughters Carol Nadolny and her husband Zeke of Lawrence, Debbie Hennessey and her husband Dave of Salisbury, a son, Joe Aleci and his wife Dawn of Methuen, two step-children, Sharon and David Poirier, both of Manchester, NH, two sisters, Ida Perotta of Hampstead, NH and Joyce McPheters and her husband Donald of Plaistow, NH, brother, Butch DiMauro and his wife Kim of Methuen, six grandchildren, Carrie Ann Melvin, Ralph and Jeffery Boragine, Spencer, Cory, and Tayla Aleci, and one great-granddaughter Caroline Melvin.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday March 2nd 2010 from 4-8PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday March 3rd at 9AM at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, with burial to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
