Phyllis E. (Scott) Johnson, 80 years old, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Thursday morning at her Lowell residence. She was the widow of the late Walter Johnson who died in 1979.
Born in Lowell on July 2, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Cora (Allen) Scott and received her education in the Lowell schools.
For over 20 years Mrs. Johnson worked as a nursing assistant at the Willow Manor Nursing Home. She retired in 1997.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna J. Malenfant and her husband Jerry of Chelmsford; three sons, Lowell City Clerk Richard C. Johnson of Lowell, Walter R. Johnson of Hudson, NH and Mark E. Johnson and his wife Erin of Haverhill; ten grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Moore of Eatonton, GA and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Johnson was also the sister of the late Elmer Scott, Doris Gradolone and Gladys Prescott.
JOHNSON- Relatives and friends may call on Monday March 1, from 9 to 11am at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH ST.(Rte 38). Her Funeral Service will be at 11 am following the calling hours in the Funeral Home. Burial in Edson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the VNA of Greater Lowell, 336 Central Street, Lowell,MA. 01852. Arrangements are by the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, LOWELL.
