Obituary

Antoinette M. (Pizzi) Nadolny, 89 of Franklin died February 24 in Rhode Island Hospital, surrounded by her family at her bedside; she was the wife of Walter F. Nadolny, with whom she would have been married for 54 years this April.
Born in Franklin, July 15, 1919 the daughter of the late Luigi and Carmina (Taddeo) Pizzi, Mrs. Nadolny was a lifelong Franklin resident.
A homemaker for many years, she had previously worked at the Evans Cass Jewelry Company in Attleboro.
Mrs. Nadolny loved to go dancing, in her younger days at King Philip Ballroom at Lake Pearl in Wrentham, and that is where she meet her husband Walter.
Mrs. Nadolny loved to garden, she enjoyed growing flowers and vegatables. She would then make preserves and can her harvest and later use them in her other joy, cooking.
Antoinette loved the Red Sox, country music, trips to the beaches of Cape Cod and for many years she took Labor Day weekend pilgrimages to the Shrines in Canada.
Antoinette always had a warm smile and a kind word for everyone. She was a mother to all her family members.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons Walter F. Nadolny Jr. and David M. Nadolny both of Franklin.
She is also survived by her brother Michael A. Pizzi and sister, Angelina “Angie” Pizzi of Franklin.
She was the sister of the late George and Annie Pizzi.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 1 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4-8 p.m.
