Mrs. Edna Virginia Varner Terrell, age 80, widow of the late Alfred Terrell of Walnut Cove, passed away on February 24, 2010 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC. Mrs. Terrell was born in Stokes County on March 14, 1929 to the late Peter and Hessie Shelton Varner. Mrs. Terrell worked as a homemaker and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith.
Mrs. Terrell is survived by one son and his wife Joe and Lisa Terrell; one sister, Annie Gunter; two grandchildren, Olivia and Natalie Terrell. Mrs. Terrell was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter, Annette Terrell and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home Chapel in Danbury at 11:00 AM with Elder Rodney Marshall and Elder Millard Shelton officiating, with interment to follow in the Northview Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Danbury. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice or flowers will be accepted.
