Mr. John Agostino, age 96, passed away Friday at the Life Care Center of Stoneham following a lengthy illness. He was a Medford resident for most of his life. Born in Boston he was the son of the late Nicodemo and Maria (Nardone) Agostino. He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline (Sanfilippo). Mr. Agostino worked for many years as a furrier and worked for various fur companies in Boston. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in John´s memory to the Italian Home for Children, 1125 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 or to the charity of your choice.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Agostino is preceded in death by his daughter, the late Jean Agostino, his sister, Therese Frasca,and two brothers, Vincent and Michael Agostino. He is survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Tuesday, at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 516 High St. Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 7 - 9 PM. Services will cocnlude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
