Obituary

Ms. Hope Voulgaris, a long time resident of Lowell passed away at the Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital from a heart attack on Friday, February 19th, 2010.
She was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Lampos) Voulgaris. Hope was
employed by Honeywell and Raytheon from which she retired.
Hope took pride in her Hellenic Heritage. She was a member of the
Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church of Lowell, the Daughters of Penelope, the Transfiguration Church Ladies Philoptochos Society and the Transfiguration Tuesday Group. She enjoyed playing Bingo at the Elks.
She is survived by her two sisters, Elaine Lazouras of Lowell, Marianthe Dabekis and her husband Christos of Chelmsford; a sister in law, Barbara Voulgaris; her three nieces, Daphne (Dabekis) Kouloungis and her husband Niclis of Chelmsford and their children, Ariana and Robert; Attorney Nicole Dabekis Chomiak and her husband Attorney Robert Chomiak of Bethany, Ct. and their children, Ava and Olivia, and Melissa Voulgaris and her son, Rory J. Cokkerline and her fiancé, Scott Bedarian of Westminster; two nephews, Peter Voulgaris and his daughters, Taryn and Kristina of Dracut, Alexander Voulgaris and his wife Colleen and their two children, Joshua and Kirsten of Dracut.
Hope was pre-deceased by her brother Demosthenes Victor Voulgaris who preceded her in 1990.
Hope will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday from 5 to 7p.m. The funeral will take place on Wednesday at 9a.m. from the Funeral Home to be followed by services at the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church at 10am. Interment in Westlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Transfiguration Church Mortgage Elimination Fund, Fr. Sarantos Way Lowell, Ma. 01854.
