John H. Quinn Jr., 77 years old, a resident of Chelmsford Crossing, formerly of the Belvedere section of Lowell, died Thursday evening at the Palm Manor Nursing Home.
Born in Lowell on February 14, 1933 he was a son of the late John H. and Anna A. (Mullin) Quinn. Mr. Quinn was a graduate of Lowell High School where he was a Boy Officer in their Regiment and a 1959 graduate of Merrimack College receiving a B.S. in Business Administration.
During the Korean War Mr. Quinn served his country in the United States Army. He was an active member of the Disabled American Veterans and a Communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. Mr. Quinn enjoyed reading and following his favorite sports teams the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
He is survived by a brother, Raymond J. Quinn and his wife Eleanor of Florida; his cousin John B. Martin Jr. and his family of Dunstable and many other cousins and friends.
He was also the brother of the late Dorothy A. Watson.
QUINN- His Funeral will be held on Tuesday February 23 at 9:00 from the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH ST.(Rte 38), followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 at the Immaculate Conception Church (Lower Church). Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Building Fund of the Immaculate Conception Church, 3 Fayette St. Lowell, MA. 01852. Arrangements are by the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, LOWELL.
