Mr. Jessie May, Jr., 78, of Alapaha, Georgia died Friday, October 3, 2003 at Tift Regional Medical Center, Tifton, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 5, 2003 at St. Luke Cemetery, Alapaha, with the Rev. Kevin Stone officiating. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Saturday evening at Paulk Funeral Home, Ocilla.
Mr. May was born May 12, 1925 in Nashville, Georgia to the late, Jessie & Lillie Whaley May. He lived in Alapaha most of his life, where attended St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church and Lax Holiness Church. Mr. May was a retired Foreman with the Tift County Road Department. His wife, Vera Mae Harper May, preceded him in death.
Mr. May is survived by: 1 sister, Wilma Henderson, Alapaha & 1 nephew, Gary Henderson, Jacksonville, FL
