Evelyn Irene Berg Vezina died on Saturday Feb. 20, 2010. She was 91 years old.
She was born December 4, 1918 to Julius and Marianne Wildman Berg in Allandale, RI. She married Lucien P. Vezina of Providence on April 6, 1939. They were married for 59 years before his death in Oct 1998.
Evelyn lived at 93 Oslo St. in Mystic for 49 years. During that time she was an active member of St. Patrick's Church in Mystic. For the last 15 months she has been a resident of Apple Rehab Center in Mystic.
She leaves behind 3 daughters: Joan Hartman of Aiken SC, Gail Robinson of Willimantic, and Linda Gavitt of Mystic; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great granddaughters. She was loved dearly by her family and many others. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Tuesday from 5-7pm and Wednesday from 10:45-11:45am, followed by a 12noon Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Church. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
