WILLIAMS, ARBUTUS "BOOTS," 94, passed away Thursday. February 18, 2010.
She was the owner of Boots Williams Bridal Shoppe, where she designed and made wedding dresses for over 50 years. She was a member of Eastern Star, W.M.U., Y.W.A., a life member of the Women's Committee of Southern Seminary, served on the executive board of Long Run Association and was a member of Summit Hills Baptist Church. Boots loved sewing, camping and working in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover E. Williams.
Survivors include her son, Larry E. Williams and his wife, Viola; two granddaughters, Michelle Wise (Chip) and Trisha Johnson (Chris); one great-granddaughter, Rachel Wise; and her sister, Mildred Stelzer.
Funeral: noon Monday, Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial: South Jefferson Cemetery. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Sunday.
