William Harold Johnson, age 73, of Water Valley, MS died Friday, February 19. 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born November 19, 1936 in Monroe County, MS to the late Arlie Robert and Minnie Marvelene Green Johnson, and served in the National Guard for several years. He was the mechanical foreman for Big Yank, Inc. and was a Baptist. His family fondly remembers his love for working on cars and being their “fix-it” guy.
The funeral service will be held in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 21, 2010 with Bro. Freddie Moorman presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will take place at Haven Hill Cemetery in Coffeeville, MS with Matthew Hendricks, Brandon Wilburn, James Melton, Jeffery Bounds, Jeremy Bolen, and Andrew Albee serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Wilburn and Hoyt Stone.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Johnson, of Water Valley, MS; two daughters, Kim Wilburn and her husband Billy, and Kay Stone and her husband Hoyt, all of Water Valley; one sister, Larie Wallace and her husband Selvyn, of West Point, MS; five grandchildren, Shea Johnson, Brandon Wilburn, Matthew Hendricks, Amber Wilburn, and Chase Stone; one great grandchild, Kaytlyn Johnson; three step grandchildren, Nathan Stone, Bruce, and Lisa Stone; and two step great grandchildren, Blake Wiggington and Micha Stone.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Billy Johnson.
