Joanne (Bergstrom) Fullerton,70, of Brockton and Falmouth, died, Thursday February 18th at the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Robert Fullerton.
Joanne was born in Weymouth and bought up in Bridgewater, daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Webber) Bergstrom. She was a graduate of Bridgewater High School and also earned her masters degree at Bridgewater State College in teaching. She was also the past president of ADK-MU chapter.
She has been a resident of Brockton and Falmouth for the past 45years, and was both a teacher and guidance counselor in the Brockton and Hingham School Systems before retiring in 1984.
Joanne enjoyed teaching cooking, braiding rugs, quilting, traveling and was an avid Red Sox fan.
In addition to her husband Robert she is survived by her son Robert A. Fullerton, Jr, and his wife Ellen of New York and her daughter Amy Tschudy and her husband Greg of Hanover, her sister Elaine Braga of Florida: grandmother of Raymond, Lydia, William and Anna.
Her services will be held on Tuesday February 23rd at 10:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Weymouth. Her Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb 22nd from 4:00-8:00PM. Donations may be made in her name to the Adult Day Program, JML Care Center, 184 Ter-Heun Dr., Falmouth, MA 02540.
