Joseph Peter Andziulewicz, 85, of Clinton, died Thursday, Feb. 18th at UMASS Memorial Healthcare, Belmont St. Campus in Worcester. He was the beloved husband of Dianne B. (Rockel) Andziulewicz for 29 years who died in March, 2009 and was predeceased by his first wife, Ruth (Wolfe)Andziulewicz in 1976.
Joseph was born and raised in Hudson, son of the late Joseph and Helen (Deptula) Andziulewicz where he attended local schools. He was a patrolman with the Hudson Police Department for many years until he retired. He enjoyed country music and was the owner and also played guitar and sang in a local group known as “Sonny Anjul & The Sundown Riders”, and prior to that he was a member of the local group “Sundown Riders”. He was a member of the Hudson Police Patrolman’s Association and former member of the Knights of Columbus in Hudson.
Joseph is survived by his children, James Andziulewicz and his wife Mary Ann of Maine, Linda Palmer and her husband John of Hudson and Geraldine Paulauski and her husband John of Randolph. He was the father of the late Joseph Andziulewicz who died in 1976. He is also survived by his step-sons, Thomas Ferrera and Richard Ferrera, both of Marlboro and Michael Ferrera of Clinton; his sister, Wanda Donaldson of Hudson; 15 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday Feb. 22nd at 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Feb. 22nd from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home.
