Joseph A. "Joey" Nozzolillo, 53, of Worcester, passed away on February 17, 2010, surrounded by his loving family, after a long and courageous battle with coronary and renal disease.

He is survived by his wife, Celeste I. (Carlson) Nozzolillo, his three children, Jonathan, Joseph and Leah, his sister, Mary Ann Carey and her husband Paul of Millbury, his nephew Kevin Carey, Sr. and his wife Renee, and his great nephew, Kevin Carey, Jr. all of Worcester, his father-in-law, Joseph P. Carlson and his companion Viola Norris of Holden. He also leaves behind Nancy Gervais, whom he considered as another sister, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many wonderful friends. He was born in Worcester, son of Joseph and Madeline (Festa) Nozzolillo, and graduated from Holy Name Catholic High School in 1974.

Joey became the owner and operator of Joey’s Limousine Service, a family business established in 1946, upon the death of his father in 1978. He nurtured his business and it repeatedly achieved award-winning status, in voting conducted by Worcester Magazine, being designated as the outstanding Limousine Service in the Worcester area for several consecutive years. Joe also owned and operated Professional First Line Answering Service in Worcester.

Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and spending time in Aruba with Celeste and best friends, Bill and Donna Fay.

Joe's family would like to express sincere gratitude to all of the doctors, nurses and supporting staff of UMass Memorial and University Dialysis, especially Dr. Daniel Fisher and Dr. Jeffrey Stoff.

The funeral will be held Monday February 22 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel - Saint Ann Church, 24 Mulberry Street. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 21, from 2 to 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to :Renal Medicine Division, UMass Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Avenue North, Worcester, MA 01655
