Giovanni Ternullo, of Medford formerly of Somerville, died at home in the company of his loving family Wednesday evening. He was 76.
Mr. Ternullo was born and raised in Sicily, the son of the late Domenico and the late Carmela (Tringali) Ternullo. He and his family settled in Somerville 40 years ago. Giovanni worked for many years in the produce business. After his retirement he and his wife lived in Medford. He was a long-time member of the Augusta Boston Club and was devoted to his family and friends.
The beloved husband of Carmela (LaPorta), he was a devoted father to Domenic Ternullo of Saugus, Antonio Ternullo of Derry NH, Claudio Ternullo of Revere, Philip Ternullo of Peabody, Carmela Burton of Wareham, Maurizio Ternullo of Middleton. He also leaves 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday February 20th, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
