Melba Luke O’Neal, 75, of Tifton died Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Aaron Clanton, Rev. Bill Barksdale and Rev. Billy Sumner will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Tony Luke, Kenny Luke, Morris Luke, John Senkbeil, Paul Senkbeil Jr. and David Lloyd will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 29, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. O’Neal was born on October 5, 1934 in Berrien County and was the daughter of Green Luke and Clara Bell Alexander Luke Coker, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one son, William Earl O’Neal; and two brothers. She was a sales associate at Walmart and a faithful member of Corinth Freewill Baptist Church. She had lived in Tifton all of her life.
Ms. O’Neal is survived by one son, Farron O’Neal of Kingsport, Tennessee; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Paul Senkbeil of Albany; four grandchildren, Christie Garrison Lloyd, Kevin Bryan Garrison, Summer Elizabeth O’Neal and Becca Alexandria O’Neal Hensley; and two great grandchildren, Jacob Andrew Lloyd and Joshua Timothy Hensley, Jr.
