Obituary

Lillian D. Fener, 83, of Blackstone, died on her birthday, Saturday, Feb. 13th, 2010 at the Blaire House of Milford. She was the wife of Albert Fener for the past 28 years and the late Roger M. Ladouceur who died in 1974.
Born in Uxbridge, MA, she was a daughter of the late Napoleon and Rosanna (Desjardin) Roy. She resided for most of her life in Bellingham and Blackstone.
Lillian, along with her late husband Roger, was the proprietor of Red Pine Dairy in Bellingham. She was also employed by AT Cross, and CVS Warehouse.
Lillian was a volunteer for Milford Regional Hospital and was a member of the Ladies Guild at Assumption Parish in Bellingham. She was also a communicant of St. Paul’s in Blackstone. She was a survivor of ovarian cancer.
Lillian enjoyed traveling, sewing, and baking. She had an innate talent for creating a beautiful garden.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Jeanne (Ladouceur) Laliberte, and her husband Robert, of Blackstone, and Suzanne Ladouceur of North Smithfield. Two sisters, Doris St. Pierre of Woonsocket, and Irene Charpentier of Slatersville, and her brother, Raymond Roy of Woonsocket. She is survived by Albert’s children, Alan Fener of MD, Janice Fener Saraidarian of Woonsocket, Diane Fener Jeffries of VA, and Ethan Fener of Needham. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00 am in St. Paul’s Church, St. Paul St., Blackstone. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday (TODAY) from 4-7 pm in the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Please omit flowers and memorial donations may be made to ovarian cancer or Alzheimer’s research.
