Charles E. Knowles, Sr., 80, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Born in LaGrange, KY, he was the son of the late William and Edith Knowles Sr. He was Baptist by faith and was a skilled mechanic. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Annette Lee Barnett. He is survived by his children, Paul Knowles, Lisa Knowles, Calvin Knowles (Bobbi), Charlie Knowles (Nancy) and Alan Knowles; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be 7 pm Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Fri. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
