Obituary

WORCESTER__Helen (Brulinski) Abramowicz, 87, of Worcester died Saturday, February 6, 2010 in her home. Her husband, Stanley Abramowicz died in 1963.

She leaves a daughter, Nancy Clark and her husband, Vincent of Tyngsboro; two grandchildren, Andrew Clark of Tyngsboro and Vanessa Clark of Minneapolis, MN., three nephews, George Perduta and his wife Becky of Berlin, CT., Steve Czarnecki and his wife Joan of Salem and Warren Lohnes and his wife, Eileen of Worcester; great nieces and nephews; friends, Sandy and George "The Colonel" Stimpson, Virginia Tamulavitch, Julia Poshkus, Julia Sierra and all the others who loved her at Dillon Heights Apartments. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Karol and Josephine (Swieczkowski)Brulinski.

Mrs. Abramowicz worked as a school teacher for many years before retiring from the Shrewsbury School System. She graduated from the former Classical High School and Worcester State Teachers College. She was a member of Our Lady Czestochowa Church. Helen was active in her community, volunteering at the Worcester Public library, fostering priests from India and assisting with immigrant Bosnian families. She also was a member of the Worcester Senior Center and the Massachusetts Teachers Association.

The Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 20, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Pernet Family Health Service, 237 Millbury St., Worcester, MA 01610. HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL SERVICE, 33 Ward Street, is assisting the family with arrangements.
