Jack Tucker, 70 of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Frank Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Edward McIntyre. Interment will follow in Rowe Cemetery, Alapaha. Visitation will be held from 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Tucker was born August 26, 1939 in Irwin County, to the late J.P. and Ella Mae Jowers Tucker. He was a 1957 graduate of Atkinson County High School. Mr. Tucker was retired parts manager of Mack Trucking Company and a former security guard for Ben Hill County and Dorminy Medical Center. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Frank Primitive Baptist Church.
Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife: Nordine J. Tucker of Fitzgerald; daughters and son-in-law: Lisa & Wilbur Harper and Kayla Lott, all of Ocilla; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; stepsons: John Leonard of Dexter, OR and Billy Leonard of Fitzgerald; brothers: Emory Tucker of Morven and Sherrill Tucker of Ambrose. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers.
