Boston, Robert Ferreira a long time resident of Taunton died February 10, 2010 surrounded by his loving family at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a sudden illness. He was 51 years old. Loving husband of Maria (Leal) Ferreira of Taunton. Robert was born in Sao Miguel, Azores. Son of Duarte and Zenaida (Araujo) Ferreira of Taunton. Mr. Ferreira was a member of the Holy Ghost Society . Robert was a hard worker. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, watching soccer and football. He was a fan of the Benefica soccer team and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving son, husband, and father. He had many friends. In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by his loving son Rick Ferreira and his finance Shana Churchey of Swansea. Mr. Ferreira also leaves one sister Maria Costa and her husband Daniel of Taunton, one uncle Jose Araujo of Taunton, many nieces and many godchildren. His funeral services will be held Tuesday February 16, at 8:30am at the Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St. followed by a mass of Christian burial at St. Anthony’s Church in Taunton at 9:30am Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
