Verne H. Kneeland, Jr., 67, of Danbury, NH died Thursday February 11, 2010 at his home. Mr. Kneeland was born in Lawrence, MA on December 11, 1942, son of the late Verne H. and Lauris (Hasbany) Kneeland, Sr. He served with the US Army during the 1960's. Mr. Kneeland retired from Public Service of New Hampshire where he was employed for many years as a lineman. He was a member of St. Mark's Lodge #44 F & AM in Derry, NH. He simply enjoyed nature and the outdoors, taking pleasure in hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.
He is survived by his son, Keith R. Kneeland and his wife Nicole of Derry, his daughter, Kristin L. Kneeland of Manchester, NH, and also by his six grandchildren, Brittnee, Kyleigh, Destinee, Keith II, Sean and Nathan.
Calling hours were held on Tuesday February 16, 2010 from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A graveside service with military honors was held on Wednesday at 1:00pm at Forest Hill Cemetery, Hampstead Rd., E. Derry. Memorial contributions may be made to the NH Humane Society, P.O.
