Donald L. English, 78, of Raymond, died September 29, 2003, at his home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Nashua, November 10, 1924, he was the son of Edward and Florence (Apt) English. He had been a resident of Raymond for many years.
He retired in 1979 from Moore Business Forms where he worked as a commercial printer for many years.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he served in the American, Atlantic Pacific, European, African and Middle Eastern Campaigns.
He was the recipient of numerous military citations and honors.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Jeannette (Thibodeau) English in 1975.
Family members include his wife of 27 years, Dorothy A. (Letendre) English of Raymond; 4 sons, Timothy English of Philadelphia, Pa, Jerry English of Warwick, R.I., Mark Guillemette of Kemper, Tx, and Roger Guillemette of Hinesville, Ga; 2 daughters, Gloria Coltrin of Vail, Az, and Julie Jenks of Raymond, NH; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Robert English of New Ipswich, Ma; a sister, Verna Paradise of Adirondack, NY; nieces and nephews.
He was a loving, patient, dedicated and gentle husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather. All those whose lives he has touched will miss him.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family.,
