Obituary

Laura Marie (Barton) Ford, 100, died Monday evening, February 8, 2010 following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late William F. Ford, Jr, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.
Born in Exeter, NH on July 7, 1909, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Page) Barton. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School, Class of 1927.
Mrs. Ford was employed by the town of Danvers as a tax collector for many years until her retirement in 1976.
A faithful communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, she was a member of the holy rollers and Our Lady’s Sodality.
She is survived by two children, Maureen Kingsley of Danvers and W. Douglas Ford and his wife Kathleen of Bonita Springs, FL, seven grandchildren, Lisa Kingsley-Rocker, Michael and Mark Kingsley, and Sean, Kevin, Bryan, and Matthew Ford, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Eva Barton, Florence Moroney, and Leo, Wilfred, Richard, and Joseph Barton.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers.
