Mr. Donald A. Nichols, 73, of 755 Western Avenue, Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday February 6, 2010 at his home, after a long illness. He was born in Berlin, NH on March 25, 1936 the son of Andrew and Irene (Turgeon) Nichols and has lived in Berlin for most of his life. He had been employed in his earlier years at Converse Rubber Company, then at Crown Vantage Corporation and lastly at Groveton Paper Company where he retired several years ago. Donald was a US Marine Corps Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict.
Members of the family include his wife of 50 years Claudia (Chomack) Nichols; two sons Andrew Nichols and his wife Francine and Jeffrey Nichols, all of Berlin, NH; two daughters Sandra Pike and her husband Jimmy of Gorham, NH and Carla Nichols of Florida; five grandchildren Amanda, Patrick, Ginny, Felix, Jr. and Charlie; a sister Elaine Coury of Saco, ME; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son Daniel Nichols.
SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 13, 2010 at 11 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. There will be no calling hours.
