Newport, RI - Duncan G. Anderson, 94, of Tiverton, RI died at Village House,Nursing Home, Newport on September 27, 2003 after a brief illness. He was husbandof the late Annie M. (Jack) Anderson.
He was born in Fall River son of the late Charles and Agnes (Graham)Anderson. He was a member of the First Baptist Old Stone Church, Tiverton. He wasemployed at the Newport Naval Base torpedo station during WW II. He later workedat Firestone Rubber & Tire Co., Fall River and finally as a carpenter & painter.
Mr. Anderson was a member of the former Eureka Lodge AF & AM which isnow St. John's Lodge, Newport and received his 50 year pin. He was a quahoger onthe Sakonnet River.
Survivors include a daughter: Janet S.A. Gagnon of Tiverton, RI; 3grandchildren: Mark D. Gagnon, Leah R. Gagnon and Timothy L. Gagnon; andseveral nieces & nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday, October 1,2003 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Old Stone Church, Tiverton.
Interment inPleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton will follow memorial service.
