Mr. Tony Marvin Ingram Obituary

Mr. Tony Marvin Ingram, age 56, of Sharpsburg, Ga., died at his residence on Feb. 1, 2010. He was born in Rockingham, North Carolina, on Aug. 6, 1953, to Sanders Thomas Ingram Jr. and the late Edith Viola Greene Ingram.

He was a director and minister of "A Better Way Ministry." He graduated from Toccoa Falls Bible College, Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in Pastoral Ministries. Mr. Ingram was involved in the music industry for most of his life. He taught drum and guitar at Trinity Christian School and was on the worship team at Orchard Hills Baptist Church for the last year. Prior to this, Mr. Ingram played in the praise and worship team at New Hope Baptist Church South and was a member of the Chick-fil-A "Moo Cow Band." He received three gold records while playing with the group "Atlanta."

Tony was a genuine family man who loved camping and playing with his kids. Surviving are his wife, Crystal Ann Joyner Ingram of Sharpsburg; father, Sanders Thomas Ingram Jr. of Newnan; sons, David Sanders Ingram of Medina, Ohio, and Lance Thomas Ingram of Sharpsburg; daughter, Faith Melody Ingram of Sharpsburg; brother, Randall Thomas Ingram of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; sisters, Regina Kay Ingram Amell and her husband, G.T., of Huachuca City, Arizona, and Tamie Rae Shumann and her husband, Scott, of Newnan. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4 at Orchard Hills Baptist Church with Brother John Barrow, Dr. Stacy Thomas, and Rev. Terry Seehorn officiating. The family will receive friends at the Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home Wednesday, 3-8 p.m. Graveside service will be held in Norman, North Carolina, on Saturday at 11 a.m.
