Virginia (Catavolo) Oliveto, of Medford, died Saturday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Medford, after a long illness. She was 95.
Born in Boston and raised in Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Mary (Sterritt) Catavolo. She graduated Mt. St. Joseph Academy.She lived in Brighton much of her life and retired to Hollywood, Fla. with her first husband Patrick Donlon. She remarried after his death and settled with her second husband Frank Oliveto, in Medford. Frank died in 2000.
Virginia was the dear aunt of Robert Puglia of Salem, NH, George Catavolo of Medford, Frances Bergman of Readville, Richard Catavolo of Waltham, and Walter Catavolo of N.Abington.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home Monday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
