Obituary

Walter F. Eastman, 88, died Sunday January 31, 2010 at the Concord Regional VNH and Hospice House surrounded by his family. Born in Buffalo, NY to the late Walter F. and Emma (Brown) Eastman, Walter worked as a senior research buyer and developer for the Polaroid Corporation for many years.

Mr. Eastman served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corp during WWII in the South Pacific and was discharged with the rank of Captain. He was a member of the Ocala (FL) Jazz Society, enjoyed flying, hunting, fishing, gardening and NASCAR. He was a proud member of the AOPA Pilot Association.

He is survived by his son, Robert F. Eastman and his wife Suzanne and daughter, Cheryl A. Admirand and her husband Robert, along with four grandchildren, Lt. Bradford Eastman and wife Sarah, Rob Admirand, Kenneth Eastman, Kimberly Eastman, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Arthur and Shirley Worringham of Denmark, ME, and 3 nephews Paul, Ricky, and Mark Worringham. He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor M. (Worringham) in 2006.

The services will be held privately by the family at a later date. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements for the family. Donations in memory of Mr. Eastman may be directed to the Concord VNA Hospice House, 30 Pillsbury St, Concord, NH 03301.
