West Boylston
Doris E. (Almstrom) Noyes 79, of 85 Woodland St. died Thursday, Sept.25, at the Hospice House, Worcester, after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 57 years, Charles W. Noyes; two sons, Robert S. Noyes of West Boylston and Philip C. Noyes of West Palm Beach, Fl; a brother, Russell A. Almstrom of West Boylston; two sisters, Ruth B. Almstrom of Laconia, NH and Gladys M. Noyes of Northboro; four grandchildren, Cara M. Noyes and Amy E. Noyes of West Boylston and Laura M. Noyes and Julie A. Noyes of Florida; and nephews and nieces. Four brothers, George M., Wilbur A., Chester A. and Howard and a sister, Alice W. Hellstrom, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Ragnor V. and Agnes M. (Stevens) Almstrom.
She graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School. She was a Teacher at Worcester Girls Trade School for many years, before retiring. She then taught knitting and crocheting in West Boylston and Holden. She was a member of Greendale Peoples Church.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. in Fay Brothers Funeral Home 1 West Boylston St. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Calling Hours are Sunday, Sept. 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
