Joseph P. Kelley, Sr., 76 of Bradenton, Florida, died Friday after a brief illness.
Born in Cambridge, he lived in Florida for the past 17 years and formerly of Somerville. He was the son of the late Catherine L. (McCarthy) and Terrence J. Kelley. Joseph was a salesman for many years in the food industry. He served during Korean War from 1951 to 1955 in the U.S. Air Force. Joe was a member of the Shriners at the Sahib Temple in Florida.
Beloved husband of Virginia (Carroll) Kelley. Devoted father of Joseph P. Kelley Jr. and his wife Betsy of Chicago, Maureen Moore and her husband Richard of Florida, Dennis Kelley and his wife Helene of Melrose, Timothy Kelley of Malden, and Ruthe LaLiberty of New Hampshire. Also survived by 10 loving grandchildren and 2 loving great grandchildren. Brother of Jean Lillis and Jack Kelley both of Marshfield, James Kelley of Florida and Frank Kelley of Medford.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, Thursday at 10:30 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family on Wednesday 4-8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD.
Services will conclude with burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
