Eleanor T. Fidler, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Caritas Carney Hospital Hospital in Dorchester following an extended illness. She was 81 years old.
Eleanor was born in Boston on November 13, 1928 to the late Edward M. and Anna M. (Lewis) Fidler. She grew up in Charlestown and attended schools there.
Eleanor is the devoted sister of Francis Fidler and his wife Geraldine of Tewksbury, Mary Reardon and her late husband Bob of Stoneham and the late Ruth Sullivan, Anne Currier, Edward Fidler, Joseph Fidler and William Fidler. She is the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Eleanor's Funeral on Wednesday February 3, 2010 at 10 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Visiting hours are on Tuesday February 2, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m.
